So I was in the big Kroger tonight and I saw a parent of a student I taught in 6th grade. She and I really connected then, so I didn’t have any problems connecting with her for about 45 minutes at Kroger. You know how everyone has those “I had this incredible teacher…” moments. Her experience was an English teacher who recorded his comments on your papers on cassette. No cut up, red-marked papers– Just a tape to listen to. Your “at-home” method for receiving information. What a great idea! Now with our technology…this is soooooo easy. A teacher can record their comment directly on their laptop and email, email! their comments to the student…who can then, listen to the teacher’s comments on their iPod while rereading and making their own red-line comments on their own paper.

I think this is a good idea for the motivated student.

P.S. I tried to leave a comment in the first category of you blog (How can I use this in my classroom?), but it said comments closed. Perhaps this is because it’s not an actual category?
